Caden's 11th birthday

I still cannot believe it when my kids birthdays roll around and they get older! Poor Caden was so busy on the day of his birthday that we didn't have time to do too much celebrating! He had band, school, track, and a band concert!

Caden we are so proud of the man you are becoming! You are such a sweet boy, and we love your smile. You are so good with your little brother and cousins. We can't wait to watch you grow! We love you!

It's our anniversary...

Every year we are going to take a pic just like this so we can see how we age over the years!

Well we hit the big 1 year mark! We decided to go to Coeur D'Alene for a couple nights. So, Friday night we decide to go out to dinner, and before the bread even came out Canyon decided that he DID NOT want to eat there! He cried and threw a big fit. Needless to say we got our food to go went to Walgreen's to get some meds to dope him up and headed to the hotel! Saturday our actual anniversary we went walking downtown and to the resort. We drove along the lake and checked out potential fishing spots. We decided that we wouldn't try dinner again so we went to go see Thor. Well, Thor did not like himself on the big screen so I snuck in with him to see Rio and walked the halls. Man this kids sure knows how to spoil our weekend!

This past year has been fun, challenging, and a learning process. I am so grateful to have Brad as my husband and as the father to our boys. He shows me how to laugh and have fun in life. Brad says (via facebook :) ) Today is a very sweet day for me personally, it is my one year anniversary and I have been blessed with a beautiful wonderful and most of all selfless woman and mother. Thank you babe your HAWESOME. I love you.

May1st we tried feeding Canyon some banannas. He has been so interested in watching us eat and trying to go after our food we figured it was time to start him on it! He didn't really care for it too much, but he ate it ok!

He is just growing tooooo fast!

The best Easter ever....

Easter was also very special this year because it was the day of Canyon's blessing. It was so special to watch mu husband walk up and bless our baby. He mentioned that he will be a beacon of light to our family. He is that for sure! I am so grateful to have a husband who holds the priesthood and who can bless not only our baby but to give fathers blessings and comfort blessings for me!

Easter

The day before Easter we got together with some friends (Bastain's Perry's and the Light's) and had a BBQ and Easter egg hunt at the park! The weather was perfect, and the kids had a blast!

Easter morning was upon us and the kids had to find their baskets before they could get any candy! Even though the older boys are getting bigger I am so glad that they still get into doing an Easter egg hunt!

I love this time of year to have fun with the kids, but also to remember our Savior and all he has and continues to do for us. We started a new tradition this year where we did a countdown calendar of Christ life to help us remember why we celebrate Easter.

4 months

Our little guy isn't that little anymore. He weighs 14.10lbs (50%) and is 25.5 in (75%) He has been a busy boy learning lots of new things! He found his toes (March 24th) and is always grabbing at them. He has been busy going to his brothers soccer games, and band concerts. He rolled over from tummy to back on April 10th and on his 4 month bday he rolled from back to tummy. He still has the funnest personality. he is always talking and smiling and laughing! For a couple weeks he was horrible at night up all the time crying. I figured it was gas, but after those weeks i finally took him into the Dr and he had an ear infection. I felt so bad waiting so long but he didn't have any of the signs of one! But he is all better now, but his sleeping is still off. So hopefully soon it will be better!

Cabening!

This is our yearly tradition of going up to Farrugut State Park and going cabening! It is too cold at night to sleep in tents and this is a perfect way to get out and have some fun!

It was Canyon's first cabening trip and he also went on his first bike ride. He did well, but was ready to be done by the end!

The weather was beautiful! So, we spent a lot of time down by the lake skipping stones and trying to fish. Landon was playing in the freezing cold (38 degree) water and Brad bet him $20 if he would go under. So, Landon started to walk in and was up to his knees and just dropped and went under! He was so cold, but was a big boy and rode his bike back to the cabin to warm up! Of course I didn't have my camera!

We hiked to these docks but still had no luck with the fish.

I am so glad we started this tradition. Even though it is only the 2nd year it is something that we all look forward to doing!

3 months

I can not believe that Canyon is already 3 months! Everyday his personality is coming out! He is such a happy baby and is always laughing! He started grabbing his feet on 3/27. So grandma bought him some booties with rattles on them for him! After our trip he is not sleeping good at all! Oh well! We love you!
